Today - "If you took 'educator' out of the equation, who are you? How do you feed your soul often outside work & stay 'whole'?"
very intrigued - thanks for sharing this David!
It's important to nurture your soul outside of your educator self. However, I am thrilled that there is much crossover
LOVE this topic - ironic - I missed the 530 chat bc I was out for a morning run - def food for my soul
I guess I would settle on being a musician, and a professional player if games: maker of stuff...and the ultimate dad.
Putting down work for family and hobbies is important. Work / life balance can be a challenge. Need to learn when to say no.
So many things! PhD student, yogi, gardener, friend, family member, cat mother, researcher, and dreamer https://t.co/mptvn0J0Ff

Intriguing Q. Venn diagram of educator me & whole me overlaps lots: curious learner, avid reader, sometimes writer, tech tinkerer
Great point Steve - being connected to everybody on here has developed into great friendships! https://t.co/wQEILMDGWK

Aside from educator, I am husband, friend, father, gamer, hiker, snorkler (is that a word?) reminder of need for balance always good
While teaching is often a part of this, I embrace my nerdiness. I like sci-fi, calculus, technology, and board games.

you may say you're a dreamer. You're not the only one :) oh how I love the dreamers!
Well stated! Me too and I wouldn't want it any other way! Love being in a career I can be passionate about! https://t.co/ST1XawWoVn

Hard truth (imho) is balance is near impossible (depending on goals) you shoot for greatness in 1 area, another inevitably suffers
yay to board games! What are your favs?
Whole me likes to cook for & play outdoors w/friends/family, helping keep educator me in line. Travel gives both me's perspective.
Pandemic is my current favorite, but I love a good game of Dominion (technically a card game).
agreed but the nice thing about being connected is that the friendships help nurture us and encourage our passion
Rewrote my Twitter bio yesterday to say Family man first. That's my prime role - includes Husband, Dad, Son and brother.
My nerd side and creative side get together and make stuff, like my blog, my podcast, and crochet projects.
If I took educator out of the equation, then I guess I would be a student - always learning and asking questions.
Good Tuesday So Far ORC Poll Demarcus Cousins Homs/all trendz exper..
I love dominion! Have played pandemic. Need to play more. Been playing hanabi, guillotine, and exploding kittens lately
I support that humble opinion. Balance alternative=self-awareness+honest communication w/others+regular course corrections.
Good morning MST! Been very focused on getting on trains this AM.
I see you are in Denver. Going to ? We should plan a game night!
