A safe place for student to learn is where mistakes are accepted and encouragement is evidence
-
Aww love that!! Thanks for joining tonight! :)
-
A2: It can influence how safe a child feels and that is the basis for them feeling ok w/ mistakes, risk taking, being themselves!
-
A2: It's has a HUGE impact! If I'm scared to express myself it can hinder my learning.I imagine it's the same for our students!
-
A2 It is IMPOSSIBLE to learn if you are AFRAID - neg environ KILLS learning
-
How much the Ss in my school like to pretend to be Ts in my school! lol! Cute...but a bit tricky too! :)

-
Jaqui Rubio from Goliad TX! I teach kindergarten science and social studies.
-
A3 Exactly the same as it does the students! If you have a neg learning environment, everybody's down.
-
A3 neg environment kills teacher joy and willingness to be innovative in the classroom
-
A3: It's a two way street. The environment can influence how the kids process knowledge and how a teacher delivers it.
-
-
A2 safe children respond well to information! Kids will always remember the way you made them feel!
-
A2: Having the right environ. means a bigger output from the Ss. Growth mindset in action can only happen with the positive space.

A2: a child must feel comfortable to be himself/herself in the learning environment in order to learn
-
A2. It decides how independent they can be as learners

Question 5
How do you respond to negative co-workers? What impact does that have on your classroom? https://t.co/uHUsBEQVww
-
something the Ss and I enjoy is "Lunch with the teacher". They get to know me and I get to know them!
-
A5: I try to keep it positive at all times. Attitudes are contagious...you have to lead by example with some coworkers.

Love this idea! Is it in small groups?

-
Fun!! I bet they love that special time in a small group! What are fav. topics to chat about?

-

-
-
A6 My reading Ss just earned their Cupcake goal, so now I have to bake this weekend!

-
Amazing! Beautiful!! Thx for sharing!
-
A7: This year, I award a lot of "whole class" points. It helps those Ss rack up points that they might not get otherwise.
-
A7. Relentless positivity.
-
A7 one kid said, "I thought you were gonna yell at me." He didn't know how to manage an apology.
-

-
A8 We lost a T two years ago, and we all learned a lot about teaching in the middle of grief

-
A7 - when you reward they will come. Up my rewards ante to be more appealing. After that it's a matter of choice.

-
-
A8: Steal from their positive energy. Get as many hugs as possible!
-
A8 I don't talk about personal stuff with ss but I do let them know I am not feeling happy. They use all that I taught them on me.
