A1 Great way to open! We don't live in a bubble, so we shouldn't teach in a bubble. Students need to understand their responsibility to contribute in a positive way to the world we live in. #122edchat
A1: That Ss need to be aware of their learning and strengths and struggles where we are, and of those around the world. We are all in this together. It also means to share what we are doing with the world and talk about the cool things we see from others #122edchat
A1 The world can be our classroom and the classroom can be our world. We're all working towards the same goal. FOR kids, WITH kids to create the best world since we only have ONE. #122edchat
A1 It’s our responsibility as teachers to make sure our students understand their own intersectional identities, confront and dismantle bias, and develop a sense of solidarity with those who look different and live different lives.
#122edchat
Hi all! Julia, preservice teacher here from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, studying Elementary Ed with a minor in Special Ed! Very excited to be here! #122edchat#troll209
A1: “One world, one classroom” means that we’re more than just what’s inside the 4 walls. What we learn and do each day affects not only our immediate peers, but those around us near and far, as well. #122edchat
A1. it's finally taking the real world into the classroom.. each time a S opens his/her phone, they are globally connected- it's time to leverage that #122edchat
A1: I think that phrase means that we are all in this together. We can all learn from one another. If you walk away from someone/something an haven't learned a single thing, that's on you. The world is there to learn from! #122edchat
A1: One world one classroom means letting Ss pursue their interests, letting them get to know the bigger world than they see each day and helping them to find and use their voice to make our world 🌎 better #122edchat
A1 Great way to open! We don't live in a bubble, so we shouldn't teach in a bubble. Students need to understand their responsibility to contribute in a positive way to the world we live in. #122edchat
A1-One World One Classroom means we are all connected. We need to realize there are so many different people beyond the people in our neighborhood. #122edchat
A1: that our classrooms are all connected through different mediums: tech, activities (book clubs), learning experiences, etc. #122edchat#punkrocklibrarian
A1: as we sing at Disney World, it's a small world after all! As technology brings us closer, we find we are more alike than different, but can also learn SO MUCH from our differences. #122edchat
#122edchat Joe your a so right, as educators instead of taking the phones off Ss, lets find ways to enhance their use to enable Ss to reach out to the world around them.
A1. it's finally taking the real world into the classroom.. each time a S opens his/her phone, they are globally connected- it's time to leverage that #122edchat
A1 “One world, one classroom” makes me think that we are in it together. It’s not just about our classroom, but also our school, our lives, our world. We are all a part of it and together we can do great things. #122edchat
A1: It means teaching Ss that education is about so much more than what happens in the classroom. They need to know how to give that knowledge real world meaning. They also need to know how to embrace and respect diversity; we are all in this together. #122edchat
A1: A classroom is a small piece of the world, but many of the problems we solve at the classroom level can be applied to real world situations. #122edchat
A1: I think that phrase means that we are all in this together. We can all learn from one another. If you walk away from someone/something an haven't learned a single thing, that's on you. The world is there to learn from! #122edchat

#122edchat Danielle it is that diversity that makes us all unique we need to unite this and show our Ss that that there are others out there just like them. Empathy goes a long way.
A1: It means teaching Ss that education is about so much more than what happens in the classroom. They need to know how to give that knowledge real world meaning. They also need to know how to embrace and respect diversity; we are all in this together. #122edchat
A1: "One World, one classroom" to me means that we should prepare our students to be productive members of today's global society: online and face to face. #122edchat
This is beautiful, Michael. I know @JoyceBronwyn believes in this, and together we can work towards change. Thanks for that thought. #122edchat#GlobalEd
A1: To me, One World Classroom essentially means we are connected as one classroom unit via various mediums. One another's experiences should, in the end, benefit everyone. #122edchat
A1: From my experience working with globally minded educators, it means embracing learning opportunities that show students that no matter where you’re from and despite culturally difference, we are mostly the same at the end of the day #122edchat
Tyler, hs admin, ohio.
A1: with the current influence of technology we are no longer locked to our area. Plus, students are now competing globally. We are teaching and implementing skills in being global citizens...because the world is a click away.
#122edchat
I don't know who to give credit for this phrase, but I use it a lot..."Kids need to learn not just about the world, but with, in, and for the world." #122edchat
#122edchat A1 One world one classroom? With technology this is truly a possibility. Our Ss will be dealing with a GLOBAL economy. My school is involved with a foreign exchange program with Foshan China. My wife and I are blessed to be the host home for the Trs.
#122edchat It is reaching out to teachers that they can use these tools to connect them beyond the walls, that these tools can create student lead learns who an change the world in their own ways.
A1. I think this phrase means that we should celebrate our differences and connect with our similarities. Also, it is so important to connect our lessons to the world around us! #122edchat#troll209

A2: I have heard of the SDG's and I do bring some of them in during my US History course. I plan to bring them into my #GSuite course as well since each platform has a challenge to address a real world problem using that platform. #122edchat
A2: I have not heard about @GlobalGoalsUN, but have seen the term #SDGs floating around Twitter for some time now. Would love to hear how they are implemented in classrooms. #122edchat
#122edchat#SDGs provide a model to lead our Ss into the future.2 want to live in a world where we are all working together. Bringing #SDGs to your classroom u are teaching empathy, cultural diversity and providing a platform for Ss to invent, innovate and campaign for change.
A2: I use @GlobalGoalsUN to help teach empathy with novel studies. Ties reading to real world experiences and makes it more meaningful for my HS English students. #122edchat
#122edchat Wow! Thanks for sharing Jerry. You hit the spot out economy, work habits and opportunities all revolve around the global world, we need to expose our Ss to these as to not fail them on what the world has to offer.
#122edchat A1 One world one classroom? With technology this is truly a possibility. Our Ss will be dealing with a GLOBAL economy. My school is involved with a foreign exchange program with Foshan China. My wife and I are blessed to be the host home for the Trs.
A2: I feel bad saying, but I don't know much about #SDGs. This is one of the main reasons for having @JoyceBronwyn and @m_drez on to lead #122edchat tonight. I want to learn, and learn from the best. There is so much potential. I can't wait to review the feed from tonight's chat!
A2: Unfortunately, I have been out of the classroom now for 6 years, but as an admin, I have pushed others to think more globally and reflect on these goals. #122edchat
A1- “One World One Classroom” are very powerful words. To me it means that we are all connected. We may all come from different classrooms, but we create one world. We can be thw change and we are all the future together. #122edchat
We are about to use them in Religion across the whole Melbourne Diocese here in Melbourne, great idea to teach and learn about social and ethical skills #122edchat
#122edchat Danielle they will change the way you think about your classroom, your life, the future and the opportunities for your Ss. https://t.co/RfO0x50sck links all its topics to the #SDGs take a look and ask me advice you need
A2: I have not heard about @GlobalGoalsUN, but have seen the term #SDGs floating around Twitter for some time now. Would love to hear how they are implemented in classrooms. #122edchat
A2: I think one of the best avenues to learn how to more with the goals is to include our students. It would be a great fit for #PBL and projects!
#122edchat
A1. The world can be united into one classroom or the classroom can be brought out into the world! We need to have our thinking and problem solving go globally beyond 4 walls along with communication to solve real world problems! #122edchat
#122edchat Fits perfectly Patrick. All my PBL work has links to the goals. As we want our kids to create calls of actions to make a change locally and globally.
A2: I think one of the best avenues to learn how to more with the goals is to include our students. It would be a great fit for #PBL and projects!

I LOVE that folks here are being introduced to the #GlobalGoals#SDGs. It can fit in ANY subject at ANY grade level. Taking the @TeachSDGs pledge is a great start! #122edchat
A2: huge into reuse and how what we do impacts the environment. At my old school we were using old bottles to create hanging bottle gardens to help feed students and families nutrient dense foods.
#122edchat
A2 As an English teacher, we learn about #SDGs through reading and writing diverse, solutions-oriented literature. Right now we’re reading All the Broken Pieces and learning how compassion can help communities heal after trauma.
#122edchat
A2. From what I read, #SDGs are a wonderful way to help students realize that change can start with one person! Would love to hear ideas of how to implement them in the classroom! #122edchat#troll209
WOW these are awesome! Can't imagine NOT being behind these goals! (avoids adding political commentary to her previous statement and just finishes her tweet with a smile) #122edchat
Backing up to A1 for a second... one world one classroom includes skype lessons with PLN in other countries, like this collaboration my kiddos had with @NowakRo#122edchat
A2. Yes, These global goals need to be approched in problem solving and empathy. The Ss can come up with ideas to solve prob. and how they can also bring about changes through PBL. #122edchat
A3: It means recognizing that our students have the ability to do meaningful things for the world, that they are not meant to simply "sit and get." We can support this mindset by telling them DAILY that they can and will change the world. #122edchat
A3: I think having a global mindset in the classroom is important for 2 reasons. 1. It challenges you to find resources outside your four walls and 2. Your student's voice is important and needs to be present on a global scale. #122edchat
A3: Woah, I like the sound of that! It means that students aren't just compliant angels, they are getting their hands dirty and are invested in their own learning. #122edchat
Hi Marie!! I'm having a tough time keeping up! I'm sure I am missing A TON. Rookie moderator here. I need to chat with @techcoachz for some tips. Haha. #122edchat
A2. From what I read, #SDGs are a wonderful way to help students realize that change can start with one person! Would love to hear ideas of how to implement them in the classroom! #122edchat#troll209
I'm still looking for classrooms to send pairs of SDG posters to. Just be willing to "pay it forward" and send the second one to an overseas school and start SDG partnerships. #122edchat
#122edchat brings a real conversation to the classroom. I have them hanging in room and the refer to them without me asking them to. Check out my lessons I create using the goals at https://t.co/YW6fKaEjrG
A3: It is on me, us, to provide a safe space to try, fail, and try again, WITHOUT penalty. I have said it before, the best ideas are locked up in the hearts and minds of the students in our classrooms. It is up to us to equip them with the keys to release those ideas. #122edchat
A3. classroom environment is the most important and effective tool a teacher has - do Ss WANT to be in your room? What are you doing to unlock curiosity and creativity?#122edchat
A3: "Calling all Innovators, Inventors & Campaigners"
Trust builds the foundation for risk taking and iteration. Grades are thought of after growth. #FailingForward is common and known to lead to great breakthroughs.
#122edchat
Q3 I always go back to the fact that we are preparing our students for the future, not the past. We need to focus on the skills that innovators possess, not just content. Perseverance, risk-taking, organization, collaboration #122edchat
A3 Innovators are taking existing ideas and concepts and improving them. I think problem finders are just as important as problem solvers. Our makerspaces provide great opportunity for inventing. We can ALL be campaigners and making calls to action. #122edchat
I just listened to an amazing podcast this morning @DyslexiaQuest i think sometimes our dyslexic ss are the most innovative and at times our school system can limit these students from thinking outside the box! #122EdChat
A3a: I think you can foster this mindset by having open conversations about making mistakes, how the brain works, and what that mindset looks like for yourself #122edchat
A3: It means recognizing that our students have the ability to do meaningful things for the world, that they are not meant to simply "sit and get." We can support this mindset by telling them DAILY that they can and will change the world. #122edchat
Backing up to A1 for a second... one world one classroom includes skype lessons with PLN in other countries, like this collaboration my kiddos had with @NowakRo#122edchat
It would be so cool to build a library of 17 children’s books, one for each of the #SDGs, and do one as a read aloud each day over the course of a month.
A3: We love to invent and create. We build, prototype and design all the time. It promotes creative problem solving. @extraordinaires is a great way to be innovative with designs #122edchat
A3: It means letting students discover on their own. Love when they problem solve and then share their unique strategies! It's okay to "productively struggle" at first! When the Ss are the innovator, they're engaged and learn so much more! #122edchat
Q3: This means that we’re looking for students to create and problem solve. We can’t progress if we don’t have thinkers, inventors or innovators. #122edchat
A3: This means we need to be creative with how we deliver these goals to our students. Students of all ages have the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Why not let them? #122edchat
A3 In English, what we create is writing. So if we read All the Broken Pieces, we write our own stories in verse about times when we showed compassion. If we read True Diary, we write our own essays about our intersecting identities. We add to the conversation.
#122edchat
So, it's not just me? I think it will come with time. I need to really own the content first, then branch out from there. I'm in my second year with this content. #122edchat
One thing I have done, but still need to work on more, is introducing #teachers to the concept of a design loop. It can be used in any classroom and #teaches#students to continue to improve and #innovate their assignment #122edchat
A3 #122edchat If we want our Ss to be change makers we need to encourage them to have a voice via making calls to action through campaigning, make improvements to our world via innovating and be the creators of change by inventing. Our Ss are our future.
A3: We can support this in our classroom by providing opportunities for inquiry, and allowing students freedom in how they approach a problem. Show that there are multiple ways to solve a problem... and that there may not always be an answer #122edchat
A3 #122edchat If we want our Ss to be change makers we need to encourage them to have a voice via making calls to action through campaigning, make improvements to our world via innovating and be the creators of change by inventing. Our Ss are our future.
A3: I think of Thinkers, Doers, Sayers. Always verbalizing our special differences and talents. Emphasizing the concept of teamwork & identifying one’s strengths. #122edchat#ItTakesAVillage
A3- We need to create an environment that allows for students to be comfortable, so they are not afraid to be creative. They also need to feel safe making mistakes. Sometimes the greatest things come out of an awesome mistake!! #122edchat
A3. We can approach this mindset as problem solvers, relate the problem to the Ss and have them determine how they would like to go about solving these problems in real life through research, working w/ people globally, etc. #122edchat
Ooooohhh! You could even level it up by creating a @Flipgrid topic where educators around the world participate! Maybe they take turns reading? #122edchat
In reply to
@LaurenPorosoff, @mr_middle_2, @Flipgrid
With my MS kiddos it is hard for them sometimes to take risks, since they care so much about not looking "dumb" I have to focus on safe space creating first thing! #122edchat
Great idea! Students need to see it’s ok to fail or make a mistake, as well as think outside the box. Modeling this behavior helps them develop the skill to help their mindset. #122edchat
A3: Students having choice in how to show what they've learned is a way to be innovative, inventive in the classroom. Using new tools without instruction: by trial and error to produce and be understand perseverance #122edchat
A3 Innovators are taking existing ideas and concepts and improving them. I think problem finders are just as important as problem solvers. Our makerspaces provide great opportunity for inventing. We can ALL be campaigners and making calls to action. #122edchat
#122edchat making mistakes is one of the biggest things we need to promote. Too much as teachers we want things to be perfect but how can we learn when everything is right. Making mistakes build character and resilience.
A3- We need to create an environment that allows for students to be comfortable, so they are not afraid to be creative. They also need to feel safe making mistakes. Sometimes the greatest things come out of an awesome mistake!! #122edchat
You're killing it ... everyone here is ..... These are hard for everyone ... FABULOUS chat though ... and thank heavens for the ability to document and review chats :) #122Edchat
In reply to
@m_drez, @mariearturi, @_on11, @techcoachz
A4: My Entrepreneurship, GSuite, DigCit and US History classes all use digital platforms to provide an avenue for their voice to be heard, for them to have choice in how/what they create and so they can be part of a larger conversation. #122edchat
A3 (again) Also we need to do a better job of #teaching students that it is perfectly okay to #fail. Failure is truly the only way we can grow and learn #122edchat
Yes, #TeachSDGs is such a supportive and nurturing community, and it’s a great way to find resources to help with #GlobalGoals. Thanks Michael! #122edchat
A3. For many years now, I've asked my students to participate in our own version of "Shark Tank." They need to dream up and pitch ideas (to community members) that will solve world problems. The SDGs provide a perfect jumping off point for their project ideas. #122edchat
A3: I see this so much in the SmartLab @SmartLab_tweets. You see Ts and Ss that have that same spark. They are innovators and inventors and all of the other labels disappear. The energy is incredible. #122edchat
So true! Our students have amazing minds, we just have to give them the confidence to share their ideas, and help foster their ability to learn from what they see as failure. #122edchat
Q3 I always go back to the fact that we are preparing our students for the future, not the past. We need to focus on the skills that innovators possess, not just content. Perseverance, risk-taking, organization, collaboration #122edchat

#122edchat Takreed spot on allowing our Ss to lead the learning. Sometimes we have to stop and think about who is doing all the talking. We need to provide opportunities for our Ss voices to be heard and valued.
#122edchat
A4: @YouTube makes it possible for our students to "travel" anywhere and see all kinds of things they may not otherwise be able to. It's an incredibly under-utilized tool, IMO. #122edchat
#122edchat Growth mindset links perfectly with this. Is about that perseverance sometimes in too many of Ss lives it is easy to give up. We need to support the I CAN DO IT!
A3: We have mid day Exploratory classes for our 6th graders! Cooking, robotics, coding, aerospace, fishing, etc...stretching boundaries outside of the core classes! #122edchat
A3: Innovation itself means thinking of something old in a new way. Thanks to our STEM and tech programs, students can test our their new ideas first hand, something I couldn't do when I was in middle school. #122edchat
It would be so cool to build a library of 17 children’s books, one for each of the #SDGs, and do one as a read aloud each day over the course of a month.
A5: By challenging them to identify real world issues that they can work to better. What's that quote? "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." #122edchat
A4: I am blessed that my school has an AMAZING technology teacher who has been using Google classroom a lot in their weekly computer class. I've done one Skype lesson with a PLN member in Canada, and I've just started using @Flipgrid as well. #122edchat
A4: @DiscoveryEd has great resources! Also virtual field trips and connecting to other classrooms and professionals through Skype and other video based communications #122edchat
#flipgrid is a great tool for this. Also, skype. I had a friend from Japan Skype in during a career fair a few years back and Ss were very impressed by it. I think just having those connections by video make the world smaller and more tangible for Ss and Ts alike #122edchat
#122edchat so many great resources being shared. Flipgrid has taken the global collaboration to new level as classrooms like mine inn AUST with timezone differences have no barriers, & you can hear the Ss messages of voice.
A4: Love the virtual reality field trips our kids are experiencing with @nearpod! Had the amazing @corderj present last week showing us so many awesome tools! #122edchat
A4 A great way to broaden students’ perspectives on the world is through my favorite technology: books! Check out @diversebooks for excellent recommendations.
#122edchat
#122edchat A3: Design Thinking, especially as it begins with empathy. Brings increased authenticity to student work through the empathy of designing around discovered need. #CBEshift
#122edchat this is awesome I would definitely like to know more. My brother is a veteran and my Ss have written some amazing pieces thanks to connecting and learning.
A4: I have used virtual museum visits from around the world to explore the cultures of Spanish speaking countries before with great success. #122edchat
A4: twitter, skype, google earth
One of the best options out there is called Pen Pal Schools, where you can connect your students with others from all around the world.
#122edchat
A4: @YouTube is huge with Ss - they can connect and learn almost anything, also like mystory app for the youngest ones - allows them to collaborate, create and share #122edchat
A5 Also love what VR is doing to change the game in this space. Easy to immerse in this tech to better understand. @nearpod, @Google Expeditions, @nytimes VR stories, @PenpalSchools VR are great. #122edchat
A3- I think as an elementary teacher we must open Ss eyes to being innovators, inventors, and campaigners. Teaching them about people who have been or are these things. And of course giving them opportunities to try! #122edchat
#122edchat In addition to A4: I have used Google Arts and Culture which gives you great tools for any subject. 3D tours, Museum tours, experiments, pics
A6: Literally anything I do in the classroom could be improved by global collaboration. I share out everything they do and am always looking for ways to connect classrooms, experts, students, etc. #122edchat
A5: Service learning projects. We need to work on connecting our students to opportunities in the community that allow them to see the small (or big!) acts of kindness they can easily accomplish. #122edchat
#122edchat remember not to always be set on the technology globalising, a picture tells a thousand things. Look to learn lessons I set up on https://t.co/NblW6oJAfw create lessons for Ss to think critically about the world. The above link has 186+ lessons.
#122edchat making mistakes is one of the biggest things we need to promote. Too much as teachers we want things to be perfect but how can we learn when everything is right. Making mistakes build character and resilience.

A5: We have had school wide service project days where students pick projects around campus to work to make it better! We also do a student led recycling program #122edchat
A5: When we take kids out of their comfort zones to show them how privileged that they are, it has the power to re-frame their existence. We are looking for community service opportunities for our Drama Family to give back after having been given so much. #122edchat
A5: "Act Local, Think Global." Students can get involved at local charities, shelters, food banks, conservationists, ecology, and more. Let student interests guide them to the community area of need. Let tech and desire elevate the impact to the world.

I had my Ss research our local water source and asked the head of the water district to come in and speak to them. The resulting projects, in true C3 fashion, covered the history, economics, civics, and geography of where our drinking H2O comes from. #122edchat
A5: Community service projects. We created placemats and cards during the holidays for homeless shelters and the students LOVED it. They were exciting to make someone smile. #122edchat
A5 My last A5's were A4. Moderator newbie here. I think any activity that gets Ss active in their community has a ripple effect of good that reaches farther than they realize. The impact could extend to the person they grow into as an adult. #122edchat
A5: Let's get more students involved in every school's Student Council and programs that reach out their community. Start thinking locally, then globally 😃😃😃 #122edchat
A5. Service learning projects which connect the Ss to the local community, have them volunteer at the local foodbank, packing boxes of food and clothing for needy, Donate their time to elderly in nursing homes, etc. #122edchat
A5 A great way to begin having an impact is to start super-locally: at school. What do spaces at school communicate about what “success” means? What redesigns would they propose to make these spaces promote creativity, curiosity, equity, empathy, or other values?

A5- We have done many small community projects through school. It would be wonderful to get our kids out of the building doing some true service learning projects. Not just collecting for shelters, but actual go and serve dinner at the shelter. #122edchat
A5. providing opportunity for Ss to find and solve problems locally is a great lead in to analyzing, finding, and solving problems on a global scale #122edchat
A5: service learning projects like a number of people mentioned.
In government class we had students write a local or state representive on a topic they were passionate impacting their community.
#122edchat
A5: Start local- Compliments project gets Ss thinking about others in classroom, then school. When we start thinking of others locally we find problems we want to start solving #122edchat
I can't think of too much more important than this. Nothing is more sacred than human life. We need to protect it and preserve it at all costs. #MentalHealthMatters#122edchat
A5: Get them involved. Encourage them to take steps forward. Make sandwiches, shovel snow, volunteer. Look at the issues around your home, school and community and try to make a difference. Share and see what works on a larger scale. #122edchat

A5. Involve students in choosing a service learning project. Asking what they care about or are concerned with may lead to a stronger connection with the overall experience. #122edchat#troll209
Reminds me of when @RachelsChalleng came to our school spreading the message of starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. Rachel Scott left a legacy. #122edchat
A5: Our knit-for-service club is something we do locally to help save preemie babies with low birth weight. Our students firmly believe that they are saving babies' lives in places like Africa and Bangladesh. https://t.co/Me5ntUkm91#122edchat
#122edchat Starting local can be less daunting for Ts. There is so many things kids can be campaigning, innovating and inventing just in their schools.
Q6 Let's "Go Global!" Ss do good work for their teacher. They do their best work for the world. Let's chat improving a current activity or project through global collaboration and an authentic audience. #122edchat
Yes! Sorry, I keep saying the same thing, but check out @NPMMVWeLab and his work. His Ss and their work, both for their school community and with their #EdCorps, #LightningOrthotics, shows the beauty of service learning. #122edchat
#122edchat I love this Barbara I am setting up an activity afternoon in my school this year and these are the things I want kids doing. Learning new skills that can be self sufficient.

A6: In general, I would love to connect with another classroom outside of our state or even country to have students collaborate using Google Docs or Slides. It would be a great lesson in collaboration and responsibility. #122edchat
You have to check out the work that @sr_tutor is doing with #CBL. His light poverty project falls right in line with this. Thanks so much for sharing Barbara! #122edchat
A6: There are so many projects that could benefit from global collaboration! I still hope to connect our foreign language rooms to classes in countries that natively speak the languages.
#122edchat
A6: In the past we tried connecting students with CS through the @scratch platform to teach them how apps work. From here, students could develop programs that serve their communities. For example, we had an 8th Grader that created a game to help ESL Ss with English. #122edchat
A5part2 - I also like to incorporate the #kindness movement in all of our lesson plans. I've worked #choosekind into all of our UEQ themes for the past 5 weeks, and already figured out how to word next weeks too! #122edchat
A6: TBH, I haven’t yet...once I familiarize myself with everything discussed tonight, I will see how I can incorporate this into my Library! #122edchat#punkrocklibrarian

We once had a #MysterySkype with VA and the Ss shared with us that how we treat our waterways in NY impact the Chesapeake near them. That really opened their eyes. #122edchat
A6: Our focus is on behavior, then academics. I'd like to someone find an opportunity for my Ss to teach other kids what they've learned about the brain and behavior, not sure what that will look like yet #122edchat
A6. Any lessons relating to the Global Goals #TeachSDGs . They provide a framework that is relevant, useful, and timely to any student/parent/teacher on the planet. #122edchat
#122edchat Jamie stay connected with me as this is a great topic I could incorporate on the global https://t.co/YW6fKaEjrG platform. Then you can get feedback from around the world.
a6: this is kind of a repeat of my last post, but we incorporate #choosekind in our weekly themes/UEQs. I've recently started posting @Flipgrid Qs to Ss to get them thinking about what the theme means to them. Global responses would definitely add to the DOK! #122edchat

A6: One of our best projects is our #geniushour when Ss research and then present to our community. Here's this third-grade boy sharing what he knows about space with a planetary scientist from NASA. So great. It's be awesome for him to share globally! #122edchat
Hey Kelly, I presented on this recently at a NYS Library Conference. Maybe something here triggers an idea. Here is the @Buncee: https://t.co/qMmjpd7hgn#122edchat

Thank YOU, @JoyceBronwyn and @m_drez, for hosting the #122edchat party this evening! I don't think that I have ever had more fun! Please plan on joining us next Wednesday at 7 Central with our host @RaeHughart, Fridge of Fame member, @thegridmethod genius and #MasteryChat friend!
A6: Here was a little project we started for Teacher Appreciation Day / getting the word out about our school. It took off and brought more joy to our Ss and Ts than we anticipated. You could easily take this global! https://t.co/hP86hI9VG3#122edchat

A6: real world 101. We teach life skills that are not traditonally taught. How to change a tire, how to file your taxes, creating a digital resume ready to get to employers, why you need insurance, ECT.
#122edchat
A6 It’d be cool to link up with a class in another part of the world and talk about how our problems connect & then develop a connected solution together. @yesmagazine had a brilliant piece on this a while back: https://t.co/y44p5cNgeb#122edchat
I LOVE this! I signed up for @flipgrid but haven't used it ... yet. THIS would be a perfect way to amplify our students' voice. Thank you, thank you! #122edchat
Ok folks, I seriously cannot keep up with all of your AWESOME! This is absolutely inspiring. I can't wait to go back, follow some new educators making a difference in the world and learn even more about #globaled. #122edchat
YES. These skills are essential. I’ve heard many students (including myself when I was one) ask why they don’t learn skills like this in school #122edchat
