A3) Yes, should be at the very least modeled. Although getting to kids at an early age with understanding empathy is a must. #mnlead
  • MrDataGuy Oct 29 @ 8:26 PM EDT
Must be modeled in our classrooms. Learning, and at its center, assessment, is by nature an emotional task. A formative assessment culture is not just about learning standards, but building confident, independent learners. #mnlead
    In reply to @jlarva4371
  • jenhegna Oct 29 @ 8:26 PM EDT
That is what I thought too. Gave insight to solutions as well. #mnlead
    In reply to @ChrisDSwenson
  • markemoran Oct 29 @ 8:27 PM EDT
Agree! It can't be "required learning" - students have to want to become empathetic & experience is the best teacher. #mnlead
    • ChristiansEric Oct 29 @ 8:24 PM EDT
A3: empathy can be taught but I think hands on experiences are best practice. Teaching empathy should be a community approach....#mnlead
