    #AfricaEd If something feels authentic(relevant, useful, practical etc) to us as learners, whatever our age, I feel it's almost always an extension to what we either already were aware of or had some idea about. So yes, there is a connect to prior knowledge.

    A1 I think of it as connecting to the world of the students. #PYP does a great job w/ this in UOIs. Math/Economics taught thru Ss developing "stores" or services. #AfricaEd
