#LangChat is dedicated to the discussion of topics associated with issues and trends in world language instruction and learning. Educators, administrators, learners, and aficionados of world languages are encouraged to participate and share their experiences and input on various topics such as new ways to teach vocabulary, using music in the language classroom, and making standards-based grading valid. This chat is also unique in that it brings together language educators worldwide and from different contexts (elementary, secondary, higher education, etc.) and languages.
They started as pure beginners but today Japanese 9 read comics of 'inviting & accepting (or not!!) ' created by them for over 30 minutes in class! すごい!

This looks like a great way to involve twitter in the classroom. I’ll be teaching AP Spanish Lang for the first time next year and I’m trying to find fun ways to incorporate technology in the classroom #langchat
Generally yes this is the time, though from time to time they discuss a WL pedagogy book at #langbook. On the rare occasion they take a week off but do not announce it. Sorry this was your first experience. I was looking forward to it too. #langchat

Students want to learn the language but need the structures and basic vocab in order to express themselves. How do I promote self-expression while at the same time give them the necessary building blocks and structures?
Dear #langchat#PLN, I’m working on a class project for my MAT and I would love to interview 1 WL teacher about the Seal of Biliteracy. I have 4 informal questions wh do not require any prior knowledge about the Seal. Merci!
