I keep forgetting   We do competitions with Crews or teams.  We took the idea from a school presenting at CCR Summit. It's fun.

Hitting the PLC ground running on Wednesday though looking at mid-year benchmarks and setting goals for April.  WAHOO!!

A3:  We finished our benchmarks in Dec. Now we're ready to dig into data with kids in ldrshp notebooks and goal setting.

Q3  Ok so we have motivated staff...now how do we motivate kids to meet their goals?

A3: Ss setting goals, celebrating when reaching them, creating a team atmosphere.  We just started using MAP this year to assess.

A3- Administrators, are meeting with all 3rd graders this week (K-3 school) to go over individual data with students

A3 added a positive behavior system. "Keys to Success" with a field trip reward at the end of each nine weeks.

A3:  We also added "Class of..." banners throughout the school during break.  the kids were really surprised today.  END IN MIND!

 A3: Sometimes cartwheels are motivating for students. Right  &  ?

A3 I think this is the hardest bc goal setting and motivation go hand in hand but are VERY different.  So I'm looking for ideas

A3: using wristbands for grade level reading/math; freshly baked cookies for P/D on MAP; more school-wide leadership roles

A3 I work with my asst and two counselors to advise individually and goal set with the students before spring MAP.

A3 We have started a lanyard tradition where students are "pinned" after certain achievements at our monthly celebration.

 we write positive post its to everyone and place them on teacher doors. I then challenge all teachers to write 6 and go post them
