Coach Willey DC Illini West...eager to learn. #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:09 PM EST
A1: Quickly, I'll start with saying it's about a good stance with balance - can't go anywhere without that. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:10 PM EST
A1: stance, stance to start, foot fire, foot fire to 3 step pedal, full progression pedal. Start slow, keep level low. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:10 PM EST
A1) Focus more on shuffle due to the number of zone coverages I run! Hips and eyes are my focus initially then go to backpedal #SWARMFBCHAT
  • TheBankkk Dec 6 @ 9:10 PM EST
How's this #SWARMFBCHAT work always down to learn
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:10 PM EST
A1: We take read steps. Should know run or pass within 1 to 1 1/2 yards. We play in a run heavy league so we don't bail. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHolst Dec 6 @ 9:11 PM EST
Our CBs shuffle, our Safeties pedal. We start with stance. Then walk out on balls of feet w/ rhythmic arm movement. #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_Urquhart Dec 6 @ 9:11 PM EST
Foot placement, pad level, eyes, read steps. #SWARMFBCHAT
  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:11 PM EST
A1: 2 Speed pedal/shuffle. Slow through Run/PA/3 Step. Fast after w/ eyes on key. "Slow til you know!" #SWARMFBCHAT
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:12 PM EST
A1) I really like shuffle, but I have never had a corner coach who felt comfortable teaching it. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHolst Dec 6 @ 9:12 PM EST
Cont'.. We pick up speed and nail the pedal before we work on our transitions. Use "clock" drill to work on breaking all angles #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:12 PM EST
A1: favorite saying in teaching young DBs: slow to go, fast to dash. Slow outta the pedal, speed up after your first 3 steps #swarmfbchat
  • _rwilley Dec 6 @ 9:13 PM EST
    Nose over toes! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:13 PM EST
A1:begin backpedal work in the offseason...all starts from our stance, pad level and good push without making it "spring break" #swarmfbchat
  • coach_u87 Dec 6 @ 9:13 PM EST
    keep #SWARMFBCHAT in your tweets
    In reply to @TheBankkk
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:13 PM EST
A1) Always make sure to separate safeties and the corners due to differentiated technique! Pedal vs shuffle, don't overlap! #swarmfbchat
  • PigSkinCoach Dec 6 @ 9:14 PM EST
A1 shuffle tech lots of zone cov, good stance, work the dog out of scenario after 3rd shuffle #swarmfbchat
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:14 PM EST
A1: get on balls of feet, pads low chest over our knees, pump arms stay in backpedal as long as possible without WR br cushion #swarmfbchat
  • CoachjDavis44 Dec 6 @ 9:14 PM EST
A1) Start with stance. "Nose over toes" and chest over thigh. Don't over stride take short steps. More "skootch" technique #swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:14 PM EST
A1 get them in a good stance 1st If u r not in a good stance u cant play Then work on their 1st 2 steps Bad start gets u beat #SWARMFBCHAT
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:14 PM EST
A1) Feet within body cylinder. "Narrow stance". React off WR movement, mirror him. In terms of footwork that's basically it. #swarmfbchat
  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:15 PM EST
A1) Guys are different, so I like to teach a couple things to best fit guys. Less is more, slow is smooth, smooth is fast. #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:15 PM EST
A1: I think a key coaching point is to remind kids to keep pad level low - stay compact - too many rise up on first movement. #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_ZC Dec 6 @ 9:15 PM EST
A1) Teach a step slide for read steps, also stress forward lean every day. #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:16 PM EST
depending on coverage and D/D, shuffle gives you better vision and cushion. #swarmfbchat

#SWARMFBCHAT Chase Banker DB's Coach at North Marion HS
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:17 PM EST
"no spring break" is a saying I have for not popping top and showing chest #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @CoachHays13
  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:17 PM EST
A1 cont: Nose over toes, run feet through the jam, break foot/drive foot out of break. Efficiency = oppotunities! #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:17 PM EST
Yes! That's my pet peeve. We're beat right off the LOS doing that. #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:18 PM EST
A1) Less athletic guys are allowed to hop out, studs step out. Some guys need a "kickstart". The "start" is usually difference #swarmfbchat
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:18 PM EST
A1: Also pumping arms is key you can cover more ground when you reach back and swing arms. You do not run fwd without arms. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:18 PM EST
Anyone pedal under a trap chute or jam tent to keep pads down? #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:19 PM EST
Q2: Via the DM: What are your coaching points with in-phase/out-phase drills? #swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:19 PM EST
I like playing kids that r stiffer in their hips in a shuffle. Kids that get beat in transition can play in a shuffle #SWARMFBCHAT
  • EduGladiators Dec 6 @ 9:20 PM EST
    #EduGladiators tackles the fierce convo of leading/growing in multi-gen schools! #SchoologyChat #spedchat #swarmfbchat #teachwriting #TMchat
  • TheBankkk Dec 6 @ 9:20 PM EST
Q2) What's your most effective way to make the kids understand your zone coverages & laws #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:20 PM EST
A2: not a drill but after being introduced they hear it on every rep #SWARMFBCHAT
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:21 PM EST
A2 out of phase we play UP through the hands and break glass, NEVER down. Tell DB's it's hard to catch ball with 1 hand #swarmfbchat
  • CoachTWill22 Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
A2: out of phase: catch the hands, don't peak. In phase: run the route, lean on man, 'legal' contact, attack the ball. #SWARMFBCHAT
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
Q2 shoulder in front hand on thigh lean into him is in phase if Im not phase play eyes & hands rake inside arm when hands go up #SWARMFBCHAT
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
A2: if they aren't in phase then nothing else matters except getting into phase. In phase it's about keeping body contact m2m #SWARMFBCHAT
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
A2 in phase we play the flash of the ball. Wedge WR to the sideline, play the ball, looking up to the sky NOT back to the QB #swarmfbchat
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
A2) We start with mirror drill. Narrow stance. Eyes on belt. Flat back. Z in knee. In this drill our hands are behind back. #swarmfbchat
  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
A2)In phase, relax play the hands.........make "contact" below the waist. OUT!!!! get back in, play hands, compete!!! #swarmfbchat
  • mikestauffer Dec 6 @ 9:22 PM EST
    MikeStauffer, DC/ILB, Patriot HS #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_Urquhart Dec 6 @ 9:23 PM EST
When in phase the eyes and hands tell the story. #SWARMFBCHAT
  • _rwilley Dec 6 @ 9:23 PM EST
Q2) Recognize your threats 1st! Run through the possible routes they can run. COMMUNICATE!! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:23 PM EST
We attack the far wrist and "hogtie" wrist to hip... by attacking far wrist we don't allow highlight tape 1 hand catches #swarmfbchat
  • zachdavis24 Dec 6 @ 9:23 PM EST
A2: you have no right to play the ball unless you are in phase #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHolst Dec 6 @ 9:24 PM EST
#swarmfbchat Q2: Eyes have to be on WR out of phase. Can peak at QB in phase. Must be hip to hip to be in phase.
  • Coach_Urquhart Dec 6 @ 9:24 PM EST
Play through the near hip #SWARMFBCHAT
  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:24 PM EST
A2: In: Hand on hip, lean/locate,mirror WR tempo, play ball to outside hand. Out: chase to near hip, then ⬆️.#swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:24 PM EST
A2) out of phase we sprint with eyes focused on inside hip & hands and we play up through the hands once we chase them down! #swarmfbchat
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:24 PM EST
A2) cont. In this drill WR runs within a distance 5 yards or so back and forth. CB is shuffling or mirroring staying square. #swarmfbchat
  • PigSkinCoach Dec 6 @ 9:25 PM EST
A2 again so much zone like to stay on top of routes widen the route with body and play up through the hands #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_ZC Dec 6 @ 9:25 PM EST
A2) We talk technique of separating the ball based on what phase you're in. If you're beat 15 is better than 6.#swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:25 PM EST
Also we always want 2 be physical from the waist down cut him off and slap his arm 2 break his stride. U get PI when it is high #SWARMFBCHAT
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:26 PM EST
#SWARMFBCHAT get your hand on their hip
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:26 PM EST
Any preference to swiping up or down when out of phase as the ball reaches the WR? #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:27 PM EST
A2) Start the Db's out in a defeated position in drills to focus on the sprint and catch up to secure the tackle or pbu! #swarmfbchat
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:27 PM EST
A2) Cont We move to kick step. Same drill but now WR goes to 45 degree angle (fade). Preach cut off shoulder forcing bubble rel #swarmfbchat
  • zachdavis24 Dec 6 @ 9:27 PM EST
I have always thought swiping down #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue

  • TheBankkk Dec 6 @ 9:29 PM EST
A2.) swipe down , secure tackle , never know could strip loose! #SWARMFBCHAT
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:29 PM EST
Whatever will work. It may change based on body position. #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:29 PM EST
A2) Cont Do same drill but now incorporate hands in handshake position. "Off hand jam" - cut off shoulder - in phase. #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_Urquhart Dec 6 @ 9:29 PM EST
Break the window hands shoot through. Pull outside arm down. #SWARMFBCHAT
  • CoachjDavis44 Dec 6 @ 9:30 PM EST
A2) f not in phase you better fight like heck to get to it. Then lean on near hip rip through outside hand Play WR hands & eyes #swarmfbchat
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:31 PM EST
A2) Want eyes on near shoulder. Run the route. That shoulder opens, turn and look for ball. #swarmfbchat
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:31 PM EST
I do prefer swiping down so you can tackle. If swiping up WR could get away if he catches ball. #swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:31 PM EST
we work this every we week Call it losing proposition if you don't work it they won't do it in the game #SWARMFBCHAT
    In reply to @CoachGibson5
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:31 PM EST
A2: also stress the crap out of the play isn't dead until the ball breaks the plan. Strip the ball or catch batted ball etc #SWARMFBCHAT
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:32 PM EST
    Exactly! #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @coachDCope
  • FerrariDre Dec 6 @ 9:32 PM EST
loving the DB #swarmfbchat coach! Could always use some more knowledge in footwork & covering technique
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:32 PM EST
A2) out of phase we preach track near hip swipe at inside arm or if it's worse just tackle the guy and take the 15 #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:32 PM EST
Q3 coming right up! Great discussion tonight fellas! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachjDavis44 Dec 6 @ 9:32 PM EST
A2) Also, nothing wrong with a little hand holding chasing vertical routes in phase. Sorry WR coaches #swarmfbchat
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:33 PM EST
    Heck yeah 😏 #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @CoachjDavis44
  • coach_u87 Dec 6 @ 9:34 PM EST
completely agree. If you miss the swipe you are in position to wrap up and tackle avoiding YAC #SWARMFBCHAT

Q3: Via the DM: Turning to Man Coverage - what are your coaching points to playing press man? #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:34 PM EST
A2: When in phase on vertical route we try to squeeze near thigh pad... if that bars an arm momentarily so be it #swarmfbchat
  • Tpeck2 Dec 6 @ 9:35 PM EST
I prefer up, gets the WRs hands out of natural position to secure the catch if you nip them on the way. #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • CoachCurran42 Dec 6 @ 9:35 PM EST
A3: Literally brawl him to death, ha! Street fight! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:36 PM EST
A3 I am actually giving a full webinar tomorrow night at 9 EST on this for anyone who wants to have a clinic + HUDL clips #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:36 PM EST
A3: I will say this - I am always harping on body lean - DB has nothing to do until that cat moves vertical! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:36 PM EST
I might be the only Head coach with an assistant on #SWARMFBCHAT proud of my dude @TheBankkk for working to improve
    In reply to @TheBankkk
  • zachdavis24 Dec 6 @ 9:36 PM EST
A3) give ground at the snap (give them options of technique to use )then step replace / off hand jam / counter when necessary #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
A3) Feet have to be hot and moving and you have to use your hands appropriately! Focus on the inside hip and drive through it! #swarmfbchat
  • _rwilley Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
A3) Press/jam...make WR uncomfortable. Prob in the minority here but we play inside lev...force the long throw. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachCurran42 Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
A3: Stay fim, don't lunge. Hit V of the neck, cut off momentum, ride hip. #swarmfbchat
  • Tpeck2 Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
A3) Foot placement is the most important. Your body is harder to get away from than your hands. Know the call, move accordingly #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
A3. Inside lev, mirror WR release, off hand punch, play in phase tech. Play in/out phase rules. "Soft Shoe Tech." #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
Q3: First is lining up on inside number. Shoot hands while moving your feet try to flatten man out and then run with him. #swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:37 PM EST
Q3 square stance play ur leverage & his release Stay square exit at a 45 cut him off. Soft on initial release strong on counter #SWARMFBCHAT
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:38 PM EST
A3) We play press 1/4s so everything I mentioned is what we do. Let shallow routes go and zone 1/4. Interested what others do! #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:38 PM EST
A3: pick up inside foot and put it down for timing. Watch belt inside hand goes to near bicep and squeeze HARD. Press to expand #SWARMFBCHAT
  • Coach_Urquhart Dec 6 @ 9:38 PM EST
Slip crotch shaded inside. Pressure on inseams. Stay square. Be patient. Mirror Wr movement. Eyes on near hip. Gain ground. #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:39 PM EST
A3: if WR tries inside then take outside hand to breastplate and flatten him out down the LOS leaning hard #SWARMFBCHAT
  • CoachCurran42 Dec 6 @ 9:39 PM EST
A3: I like having bigger S types out there. Physical kids not afraid to fight at the line. Make the WR not want to go there #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:39 PM EST
A3 tips: feet hot, hands ready, thumb up PUNCH when WR declares insider/outside. Be patient and give ground, you have time! #swarmfbchat
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:39 PM EST
What is your alignment in relation to the LOS? You as close as possible or off a yard or 2? #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @zachdavis24
  • CoachHolst Dec 6 @ 9:39 PM EST
#SWARMFBCHAT A3 cont: Feet more important than hands. Leverage depends on coverage. Don't open the gate right away.
  • PigSkinCoach Dec 6 @ 9:39 PM EST
A3 we start with concept of knowing where your help is wether it be one high or two #swarmfbchat
  • _rwilley Dec 6 @ 9:40 PM EST
A3) Most WRs at our level don't like u in their face #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:40 PM EST
Lots of Saban mirror motor release stiff one hand jam, want to encourage outside release and the longer more difficult throw #swarmfbchat
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:40 PM EST
A3: Key point is not leaning or being to aggressive on delivering the blow. Move feet and have receiver come to you. Mirror man #swarmfbchat
  • TheBankkk Dec 6 @ 9:41 PM EST
A3) man against quick game can hurt you (outs, slants, etc) unless u have a stud , wanted to force everything to sideline ! #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:41 PM EST
Also, must know help/no help. 0, 1, 2 man, Rat, etc can effect M2M defender technique & how/where to be aggressive. #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:41 PM EST
A3) Heavy inside, don't need big punch but I want hand fighting. If he goes inside he has to run thru your heart. Be great late #swarmfbchat
  • Tpeck2 Dec 6 @ 9:42 PM EST
My CBs are lil guys. So, teaching them soccer style body blocking is the most effective. Wont win a hand fight. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:42 PM EST
A3: 3-7 we call no mans land off man places us toes at 7 and press we gotta be inside 3! #swarmfbchat
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:43 PM EST
@DCcoachV Depends on match up. Is your DB athletic enough to play up tight or should he be off some. #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @DCcoachV

A2) Wow..surprised to see so many inside lev fans. Seems most like Out/Spill best. Good to know!!! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachjDavis44 Dec 6 @ 9:43 PM EST
A3) Press take away everything inside. Force ball to perimeter, most HS QB'S can't get it out there. Force with inside hand #swarmfbchat
  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:44 PM EST
Q4 is coming right up #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:44 PM EST
A3: cont. We also love to work side field gives us good 5 yard lanes to force the vertical route to a defined landmark #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:45 PM EST
#swarmfbchat we are 46 so we can't give up the inside

A4) Cover 3 reads QB, Cover 2 reads last guy on LOS to the QB...then head on a swivel #swarmfbchat
  • PigSkinCoach Dec 6 @ 9:48 PM EST
A4 ours are tweaked via formation, terms 3 quick or clear your cleats #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHays13 Dec 6 @ 9:49 PM EST
A4: THis will be news to @TheBankkk but we are gonna make a change here #swarmfbchat

  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:49 PM EST
A4. Front arm of QB through mesh (eyes/feet married). Arm down=run, arm up=pass. Very effective for us vs RPO teams. #swarmfbchat

  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:49 PM EST
A4)Depends on offense and coverage. 2Read- #2. If they are run first we will cross read. #swarmfbchat
  • Tpeck2 Dec 6 @ 9:49 PM EST
#swarmfbchat A4) Watch TE or #2, look for hook blocks or cut offs. Gives you direction. Then, just watch QB and move on long arm motion.
  • Coach_ZC Dec 6 @ 9:50 PM EST
A4) Have them read the tackles. High/low hat. #swarmfbchat
  • brgredd Dec 6 @ 9:50 PM EST
A4. It all starts with the Guards unless maned up. Then go with your guy #SWARMFBCHAT
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:50 PM EST
A4) I've done exclusive read #2. Tried read nearest uncovered lineman past season. Found that hard to do at high school level. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGibson5 Dec 6 @ 9:50 PM EST
A4) We scout uncovered linemen and center all week and focus on run pass keys! #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • Coach_Urquhart Dec 6 @ 9:50 PM EST
Triangle read. Read #2 through backfield. #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:51 PM EST
A4: uncovered OL to QB. If they come forward to block backer then run. In our 46 the FS is a LB 8 yards off LOS lol #SWARMFBCHAT
  • Tpeck2 Dec 6 @ 9:51 PM EST
#swarmfbchat A4Cont) Should mention we are Cover 3, with 3 DBs. Our FS really is just a fast kid who can cover ground well and play the ball
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:51 PM EST
A4) Cont Or I just didn't coach it well enough. Seemed like read #2 or EMOL we were in better position. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachjDavis44 Dec 6 @ 9:51 PM EST
Q4)S covering #2 Read EMOL. Over top read the triangle. Looking for help in how to teach corner reads. They just cover! #swarmfbchat
  • CoachHolst Dec 6 @ 9:51 PM EST
A4: In 1/4's, they read their #2 receiver for initial run and pass. #swarmfbchat
  • CoachGrayvold Dec 6 @ 9:51 PM EST
A4 all depends on the coverage we are in and if it's man or zone. Also really depends on what the offense is attempting to do #swarmfbchat
  • Coach_JGill Dec 6 @ 9:52 PM EST
A4 Cont. Must also find any tippers and train all defenders that all offensive players are liars! Gotta smell a rat! #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @rmacblue
  • CODY_GARDNER Dec 6 @ 9:52 PM EST
Lineman are liars. Can't trust them anymore. RPOs change things. #swarmfbchat
  • coach_u87 Dec 6 @ 9:52 PM EST
A4 We've read the shoulder of the QB. High shoulder leads to deep ball etc. don't trigger down hill until hand off the ball #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:52 PM EST
#swarmfbchat we see some bad Ts that just play high. That and all these 2pt stance Ts
    In reply to @Coach_ZC
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:53 PM EST
Coach what do u do drill wise for reading uncovered lineman & center? #swarmfbchat
    In reply to @CoachGibson5, @rmacblue
  • coachvint Dec 6 @ 9:53 PM EST
Watching #swarmfbchat is like jumping in the defensive huddle! Fun to hear what the other side of the ball is doing!
  • SSHS_CoachCoons Dec 6 @ 9:53 PM EST
A4: We play with two high safety's so this varies based on formation. But we read uncovered lineman. Bounce so they can run sup #swarmfbchat
  • _rwilley Dec 6 @ 9:54 PM EST
A4) QBs that we play are not good liars...trust your reads..deal with it! #swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:54 PM EST
2 rec on my side #2 or lane of the ball. On single side 2 backs uncovered OL or FB. Trips depends on coverage 3 strong OL 1 wk #SWARMFBCHAT
  • coachjsam Dec 6 @ 9:55 PM EST
A4: the simpler the read the faster they will play. OL will lie all day in today's FB #swarmfbchat
  • ocjacobmorris77 Dec 6 @ 9:55 PM EST
#swarmfbchat we really look for QB tip offs with their hands or throwing motion

  • rmacblue - Moderator Dec 6 @ 9:57 PM EST
Coaches- thanks for answering those DM submissions - great stuff - we will cover schemes the next time around! #swarmfbchat
  • coachDCope Dec 6 @ 9:57 PM EST
RPO has made it difficult 2 read high low hat lineman are downfield and the QB throws drag/dig safety can't be 2 places at once #SWARMFBCHAT
  • Coach_ZC Dec 6 @ 9:57 PM EST
can get tricky with bad T's but coverage concepts can allow for misread with solid coverage behind. #SWARMFBCHAT
    In reply to @ocjacobmorris77
  • DCcoachV Dec 6 @ 9:57 PM EST
Damn I never thought of adding lineman to 7 on 7 🙄 lol thanks coach! #swarmfbchat
