A2 absolutely, summer learning doesn’t necessarily mean formal learning but students should be trying to find answers to their questions, creating, and reading. There isn’t a student (or teacher!) out there who wouldn’t benefit from reading over the summer #MTedchat
A1: We provide six weeks of summer programming through our 21st Century and Title VI grant... Combo of theme camps locally and regional options we provide scholarships and transportation for. #MTedchat
A2: Our summer session is part of the school year (we have 1 week in June & wks in Aug off). Our 45 wk year was designed to prevent the slide/loss because we set up for full inclusion. #MTedchat
A3 I recently talked to our PTC about organizing a book swap so kids can get "new" books to read over the summer. I'm looking into getting some cheap books from Scholastic to send home too so there's lots of reading material. #MTedchat
Also @EpicKidsBooks is doing 3 months for $3. I just emailed my parents about it, so there's a cost, but a very small one and Epic is so worth it! #mtedchat
