Q2. What's one thing you'd like to let go of in 2016 in your classroom?
A1. More variety of types of sharing, audio, creation activities with explain everything

A1. Reinstate STEM groups and challenges in my Learning Commons....
A2 ahhh well right now I don't have a class as such for 2016. I move around as needed and do relief work while PhDing & consulting 💜

a2. something i am thinking of phasing out of my class through this year is use of letter grades
A2 desks that are still stubborn enough to be in rows when I visit diff schools!
Good call on that! have for most part ridded my room of them. I still use Math to supplement projects we work on.

A2. Agree desks are a pet peeve of mine too. I moved to circle tables 4 years ago. More collaborative opportunities.

A2: I am back f/t in the classroom, so I am ready to learn and grow with a whole new set of students and school.
I was in a school where they were moulded to be in groups and yet - they were in rows!!! Arrghhhh
A2 Ideally, I'd like to phase out time constraints on learning. Difficult, but I think we can aim for it w/in context of deadlines
A2 "old" curriculum, though finding resources has been challenging for some new big ideas/competencies

Yes! vid recordings so important! I like to use explain everything. Could you use so can catch responses quicker. TY
Yes! I've mostly axed them, but they still pop up occasionally, especially when you have sts who need clear structure

I would love for desks to be removed from school purchasing lists altogether! Lol... Give me tables any day.

A3) I really want to learn to animate. I can do some now but I want to build characters and give them emotional faces.
A3 without doubt Virtual/Augmented Reality will inspire student learning
I think we just need more sharing. I don't necessarily feel a lack of resources, just a lack of connecting ideas

A3 set up a Makerspace and more importantly embed in all Learning Areas
Are you using tables now?
They were kind of organic but fit into each other to form little groups of 4 or 6 and great colours too!
Adults. i think I hold back sometimes worried about what administration might say.
They'll say it anyway.
I did use rounds for the last 3-4 yrs. Not this year, new school still working on it

Perfect. And so much natural curiosity and learning to be had from it.
Great idea! Collaborative creation doesn't often require chairs

Q4 Time to brag... What's one thing that is going well in your class/education realm that you're going to keep doing in 2016?
Have you seen tellagami? I like that. Saveable to camera roll and can create own characters and add your voice.
I love Tellagami and use it quite a bit both for and with the students. Great little resource.

A4 really thought google classroom great- Ss loved it but only had 6 months to play with it - would love another opp to FURTHER
link to some resources for vr? I have tried it but haven't done anything but surface level activities.

A4 Creation Lab. mindset with limited resources :) Dedicated time x2/week some organized STEM challenges but often open

Q4 Awesome success using twitter in the classroom. There's great resources out there...a quick way to get questions answered
elective STEM classes have transformed the whole way I teach not to mention the inspiration. The kids creativity blows me away

I resigned my Head of JS position down south to become a class teacher closer to home. Back to basics for me.
My word 'community' will hopefully impact on students by maximizing collab in all stakeholders
