Well said, Brent! In the fast paced life of education, it is so hard to take the needed time to reflect in order to hone in the work and construct a path toward justice, equity and such. #G2Great #BeingTheChange

  • vrkimmel May 3 @ 8:40 PM EDT
A1 My toughest challenge for myself is to work at identifying my own personal biases. When you enjoy privilege, it's hard to see some of the ways the system/culture is failing others. I want to be open to what I need to do for equity and equality. #g2great
  • hargrove_edu May 3 @ 8:40 PM EDT
Yea! And the time doesn’t have to be factored into the plan. Spontaneous time for those “in the moment” opportunities is great too #g2great

  • ktkelly14 May 3 @ 8:40 PM EDT
Yes I couldn't agree more. We must being to recognize our own biases and to avoid using a deficit lens as we perceive our students, their families, cultures, and ways of being. Once we do this we are better able to help our students recognize their biases & assumptions. #G2Great
