Sorry for running late. My name is Jeff, and I am a math intervention teacher for K-5 in Kennewick WA.
My AU question... Do most Aussies follow Australian players in the NBA? I am a huge Utah Jazz fan, and we have two aussies on the team.
#LearnLAP
Thanks for steering the #formativechat crew tonight, @mpilakow ! Have a fab week, everyone! Don't forget #LearnLAP starts now and #tlap begins at 8 PM CST.
Hi Rich! Our accent and slang, plus our amazing native Australian wildlife. And how clean it is, how open & beautiful the landscape is. I could go on...๐ #LearnLAP
A1: A collaborative env where Ss are empowered, their voices are heard & active engagement in relevant learning experiences. Where Ss dev a positive sense of self, empathy for others & learn how to be change agents for the future. #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
A1 - The vision for my classroom are students becoming passionate about math. I try to foster a culture of courage, engagement, and a willingness to make mistakes.
#LearnLAP
A1: I envision a school where students and teachers are given the support and resources they need. Where people feel respected and listened to. Where we communicate that everyone matters #LearnLAP
Hello #LearnLAP. 4th and 5th grade teacher in Maine.
A1 A learning community is respectful & curious. Ts & Ss feed off each other, supporting learning but asking questions to dig deeper. It is responsive to individual needs & lets learners choose their own path. Also, books!
#learnlap Jerry Toups HS Math Tr from Houston TX Since 1990 my 1st rule has been #AlwaysBelieve in Yourself. #ItWorks Australia question... Have you ever been snorkeling on the great barrier reef? Would love to do this one day.
Maria Kruzdlo, 4th grade teacher, doctoral student from New Jersey. First timer here. Looking to connect my students with a class in Aus so they can ask the questions. #LearnLAP
A1: I would love for my classroom to be a safe and productive place to learn. I would like for school to be a place for all students and staff to look forward to going to. #learnlap
A1: My classroom vision is a place where the students are excited every time they come to school and wonder what new things they will experience #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
Good Evening! Sara here checking in from the Dallas, Texas area. I teach 6th-8th grade GT ELA. I'm wondering how the schools are structured there. What grades are grouped together? #learnlap
#learnlap A1 My vision of my classroom and school is to create a culture of #AlwaysBelieve in yourself. This is the key to #growthmindset Bit by bit I am achieving this vision. My 1st book, "The Story of Always Believe" will be coming out soon.
A1: A bunch of folks learning from each other and making each other better. Beyond that I'm not sure - we have to be flexible and not one size fits all. Different populations require different things! #LearnLAP
A1: Classroom not defines by 4 walls. Real life experiences outside where learning occurs naturally. Where they learn by doing positive things in the community based on their own interests. #LearnLAP
A1 In the school that I last worked we valued
Creativity, Discovery, Interaction, Faith, Reflection & Expression & the individuality of each member of our community and their unique gifts and talents that they brought to the community our vision to celebrate these. #learnlap
A1: an open learning environment like a Google campus in which ideas flow. There are open spaces with the latest technology for students to challenge their thinking. Teachers are facilitators. Would like to see a theater setting for debates and communal discussions.
#LearnLAP
A1 The vision I have for my classroom is a place that kids want and look forward to coming to because they will be valued, engaged, have fun, and learnโthat they will be empowered with positivity and leave believing in themselves and their ability to make a difference. #LearnLAP
Gary, former Supt of 25 year with a vision of creating a culture where Ts & Ss accept their moral duty to be kind, compassionate, & empathetic to everyone (even those who donโt seem to deserve it) #LearnLAP
Modern education is premised strongly on materialistic values. It is vital that when educating our childrenโs brains that we do not neglect to educate their hearts, a key element of which has to be the nurturing of our compassionate nature.
I want my classroom to be a space where students don't worry about "right" or "best," but turn their attention to considering all voices, truly seeing their peers + making meaning together. Student led, student centered + equity focused. #LearnLAP
A2: As a special ed teacher, this comes second nature for me. I like to think I provide a learning environment that makes everyone feel safe enough to share & not be feared of being made fun of. I celebrate mistakes and take them as learning moments #LearnLAP
A2: Invest TIME in dev meaningful relationships with & between Ss. KNOW my Ss. Provide all Ss opportunity to be heard. Foster respect for all. As @TaraMartinEDU says 'Be REAL' with them. But relationships are key โค๏ธ #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
A2: We start every day with morning meeting. I give everyone a chance to be heard. We have fun together. We share about things unrelated to our educational journey. I intentionally spend time building community #LearnLAP
K-6 . Depends on which state, most follow an Aus curriculum, except NSW, we still have stages. Early stage 1= K stage 1= grades 1-2 stage 2= grades 3-4 stage 3= grades 5-6. Then grade 7-12 is high school. There are a few middle schools in large cities but not many #learnLAP
Inclusivity comes naturally when you build the community based on respect and give everyone a seat at the table. Every student has a valued voice. We begin and end each day in a circle listening and learning from each other. We explore ideas and I rarely say no #LearnLAP
A2: houses or families. It's like a grouping system. You have your cohort and you're going to be with them for your time your in school. This group would be able to form bonds and relationships. Giving these groups time to establish expectations and rules of conduct.
#LearnLAP
A2: I spend the first six weeks(ish) doing mainly SEL, building a community, and learning the rules and procedures. We spend 20 min. on SEL and revisiting what needs to be revisited every day. So worth it! #LearnLAP
A2: Valuing the voices of students. When you hear to listen instead of hearing to respond, students realize that you CARE about what they say and buy into your classroom culture. #learnlap
A2: By being part of a caring community, students learn morality by living it. They receive respect and care & form positive relationships. They practice this with words & action allowing respect & care gradually become habits -- part of their character #learnlap
A1: My vision is where every student is successful regardless of academic level. All students can learn. Some more than others. At the same time, build the perfect school climate and culture where students are eager to attend school and look forward to attend. #LearnLAP
They really are! Our meeting looks different every day. Some days we have 5 minutes, other days we have 30, but no matter what we always meet. #LearnLAP
A2 Knowing your purpose in building an inclusive learning community:
Why-values & beliefs
What-principles
How-practices
So many strategies but the best start is developing relationships with your children & supporting them in developing their relationships with peers
#learnlap
A2: By doing all I can to make sure my Ss feel heard & valued. Encouraging victories & working to grow & remain positive when there are areas for improvement, asking meaningful questions (& remembering what they say), and working together in teams #LearnLAP
A2: Every student counts.
I try to take into account everyone's culture and background when putting together lesson plans. This comes from relationship building with each of my students.
#LearnLAP
Lead by example by being kind, empathetic & inclusive & teaching our Ss these skills & having classroom expectations. Explore& celebrate the individuality of our Ss & be connected with other classs around the world #globalconnections#learnLAP
A1: I envision my classroom and our school as a collaborative community of learners. We explore, fail, laugh, cry, serve, and cheer together. #learnlap
A3: Leadership is how you make other people feel. Do you empower others? Do you help other people find their passions? Can you help others grow? If so- that's leadership. Leadership does not have a job title because everyone can be a leader. #learnlap
We have to work with our students to create the conditions for empathy. Our sharing vulnerability with our students + our students sharing vulnerability with us + each other builds strong ties that let all students to feel valid + valued in a humanized space. #LearnLAP
A2: I also was watching a video about how one teacher ended their class each day in a circle and Ss had the chance to share aha moments, a piece of gratitude for a classmate, or an apology. I've never done this, but I'd love to try! #LearnLAP
If Ts are not establishing the culture in the manner you described, the students will do so, & it may not be the inclusive community we aspire to have. #LearnLAP
A2 We start building our sense of community right from the beginning. At our first morning meeting we established the routine of greeting each other. We create the idea that we are a team and will learn from each other because of our questions and curiosities. #LearnLAP
A3: Leaderships = actions not a position. What you authentically DO to make a positive impact. Vision. Guide. Effect change. Advocacy. Celebrate. Amplify. Influence. Communication. Moral Purpose. Integrity. #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
A2: As the instructional leader, I set the example by always welcoming our parents and children in the morning. Iโm the first face they see in the mornings. We also welcome our parents through our strong parental involvement liaison. #LearnLAP
A3: Someone who lead by example and not afraid to get into whatever the initiative is. Someone who works WITH their staff, not TELLS them and sits back. #LearnLAP
A3 Leadership is being an inspiration and a power of example for others, being compassionate empathetic and supportive, helping others jump levels and pull others up with them. Creating a culture of trust and genuine relationships with those you lead #learnlap
A3: Leadership is guiding and motivating a team (class) toward the end goal (learning). A leader doesn't just talk. A leader is fully engaged, and teaches with passion.
#LearnLAP
A3: Having expectations that provide enough guidance for others while still giving them freedom so they do not feel as though they're being watched under a microscope & also have opportunities to provide input & feel like a team member #LearnLAP
A3: Leadership is an opportunity to serve others by doing for them what you'd want a leader to do for you. It's shouldering the negative while passing on the positive. It's always focused on what's best for students. #LearnLAP
A3 Part B
In addition, a leader never says "That's not my job". We go above and beyond, not because our contracts tell us to, but because our hearts and minds know its the right thing to do.
#LearnLAP
A3: To me, leadership is being an example, being in-tune with the needs of those you are leading and seeking for ways to meet them, and caring deeply about your cause/project & the people in your group #LearnLAP
A3: Bringing out the best of those around you. Providing a diff perspective and resources, empowering, encouraging, and inspiring. Building respect through relationships rather than fear. Working with not above, always learning, being vulnerable. #LearnLAP
Q3 Great question! To me leadership is empowering others to be successful in what they do. Iโve always taken the same approach to teaching as I did to coachingโI want to provide some structure and teach skills for them to do the work and find success #LearnLAP
A3 A leader can ultimately set the tone & culture of the staff & school. They show by example how to serve others, bring out the best in others and work as a part of a team. A good leader will walk beside you not ahead. #LearnLAP
It makes the difference in everything that you do as a leader when you shift your thinking that it's not about you leading others it is about empowering them to make the difference in their world #learnlap
I want my classroom to be an inclusive place where their language, culture, and identity are embedded within the curriculum and class activity. I want each of my students to "see themselves" or their potential within the material we are studying/learning #LearnLAP
A3: Lead by example. Integrity, courage, responsibility, ethical, inclusiveness, and fair are just some leadership traits. This is perhaps my own definition of leadership by John Wooden. #LearnLAP
The academic and social curricula are firmly intertwined. Morning Meetings help build community, develop social skills, and practice how to ask questions, etc. It is the most important part of my teaching day and has been for the past 21 yrs. #LearnLAP
A1. An open learning environment where we respect one another, dive into curiosity, challenge our thinking and apply it to real world problem solving. #learnlap
Servant leadership is powerful: how can leaders (whether they have a title or not) help others achieve their goals? This might mean removing obstacles, providing resources, offering mentoring, or simply listening. It's about empowering others to empower yourself. #LearnLAP
A3: Leadership is more about influence than authority. This means you give when you don't have to, show respect and empower other while serving with humility. #LearnLAP
A4: when I ask ss show me, show each other, etc. when I move away from the front of the room and sit with them. When I listen to them and their ideas and donโt say no. #LearnLAP
A4: A goal for this year-dev a more student led classroom. Focus is to dev a respectful community where Ss are encouraged & feel safe to take the lead. Acknowledge & celebrate when Ss take risks. Provide op for all voices to be heard. Lead by example. #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
A4: we value their opinion so we push for them to have a voice. It's not always positive what we hear but it is done in a way that encourages us to reexamine and push forward.
#LearnLAP
A4: We offer several opportunities for students to be leaders -- SCA, Cougar News, Ambassadors, and more. I like to personally tell Ss about leadership qualities I see in them! #learnlap
A4: We encourage leadership through our national honor society and student body officers. Our officers serve as an advisory committee to the principal (me). #LearnLAP
We have grade 6 leadership roles, 2 class representatives from grades 3-6 for a student rep council.
In the classroom I have daily leadership roles such as leading class meetings etc & class mentors to assist others #learnLAP
#learnlap A4 My classroom is driven through student peer tutoring. I encourage Ss to help each other to learn. When they teach each other they remember. #ItWorks
We need to know what they honestly think, in order to improve. You're right, we may not always like what we hear, but it's important to hear it. #LearnLAP
A4: One way we do this at our school, is by empowering our 5th graders to be leaders within the school. Our 5th grade teachers, not only teach the expected curriculum, but also soft skills like how to shake hands, how to greet someone, and leadership skills.
#LearnLAP
A4 By:
Leading their learning
Collaborating with others
Student directed learning
Taking responsibility
Seeing the potential
Following their interests/passions
Being a cheerleader
Providing informal/formal opportunities
Building a democratic & inclusive classrooms
#LEARNLap
A4: Students are encouraged by being listened to. Each idea valued and explored. My kids explored cultures today by sharing their ancestry through artifacts and food. Each teaching others with confidence and pride. Victory in Voice, value diversity, voracious learners. #LearnLAP
A4: In my SPED math classes, Ss who have stronger problem solving strategies with a particular game takes the lead to show their strength and build up the S who may be lacking in that particular skill. It takes little prompting for Ss to step up #LearnLAP
A simple 1st step for developing leadership is inviting Ss to choose our daily greeting. At first they chose handshake or fist bump but soon create the train greeting or firework greeting. They become comfortable sharing & being in front. Then book chats & assemblies. #LearnLAP
It's hard when that happens. That's when it's important for teacher-leaders to step up and help build up the culture. Easy to say and SO hard to do. #LearnLAP
A4 Iโm excited to see what all of you are doing we donโt focus enough on this in our building. We ask kids to lead and we encourage voice but we donโt make it a priority #learnlap
Hawthorne Elementary School fifth graders have been participating in โThe Amazing Shake,โ a competition started by the Ron Clark Academy (@mrronclark_) to teach kids skills they will need as they enter the workforce. Take a look at how well theyโve done!
A4: An essential ingredient here is to engender ownership among students for their classroom and their school. This sets the foundation for all students (introverts and extroverts alike) to step up in service of their school team and family. #LearnLAP
A3. Leadership is an opportunity to lead others, give others opportunites to lead, share in directions of leadership with choices and opinions to those you are leading, serve others through leadership. #learnlap
A3: Leadership is driving the bus while listening to the hoped for destinations of the passengers. Leaders begin a trip with a destination in mind, but true leaders differentiate based on the needs of their group, remain flexible, & remember it's all about the journey. #learnlap
A4: this year I really want my students to take ownership of their learning and become leaders in that sense. Encourage them to be mentors to each other #LearnLAP#tlapdownunder
A4b we have several of the things others have mentioned like STUCO and clubs but Iโm more interested in how we create opportunities for leadership with the masses #learnlap
If you've read "Learn Like a PIRATE" and would like to moderate an upcoming #LearnLAP chat, please let me know! Openings in February and beyond! :)
If you've never moderated before and would like to do so with a smaller crowd, I need #5thchat moderators as well! Thanks!
A5: I encourage this within my small group lessons during math because everyone at the table has different strengths and areas of need. They always want to just talk to me. It's taken some time to teach them to collaborate but we're getting there! #LearnLAP
A5: Flexible seating & classroom set up; Ss regularly give each other feedback; intentional about providing op for Ss to collaborate-atm mainly think pair share & group work. Want to incorporate some PBL & passion projects. Looking for more ideas. #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
#learnlap A6 my class is centered abound collaboration. I have 11 sets of desks. Each set has one of my top 11 Ss. I then disperse the other Ss randomly. Every group has a high learner. Using my @surface tablet I can take pics of randomly picked Ss and display it to teach.
A5: When Ss choose a song or finger play, during centers, at recess. We teach how to collaborate, taking turns, conflict resolution...yes, in PreK!! #LearnLAP
A5: Kids need the opportunity to collaborate in different ways. Sometimes they write together. Sometimes they talk. Sometimes they collaborate on something creative. They need all those chances to be successful. #LearnLAP
A5: There are a couple of strategies that I've used to foster collaboration in my math classroom.
1) Number Talks. I pose the problems, but the students own the conversation.
2) Story Problems. Students write their own story problems, and then solve each other's.
#LearnLAP
A5: Collaboration and leadership are intertwined. Focus on each person's unique skills, realize no one can do it alone, provide time and strategies to work through the rough spots- ownership of collaboration never forced. Authenticity is essential. Listen. #LearnLAP
A5: We installed sound field systems in each classroom (Juno by Frontrow), which include teacher AND student microphones. Itโs incredible how students come alive when you ELEVATE their voice. They love to share and give feedback. #LearnLAP
A5: Collaboration and cooperative learning happens throughout lessons and teachers are expected to do lessons and include working with small groups, in pairs and as a team. #LearnLAP
A5: we are a project based learning school and value collaboration as it is an area for focus in our grading. We see collaboration as an opportunity for ideas to generate, be challenged, and innovation to happen.
#LearnLAP
A5: Set aside a 15 min block of instructional time each week for initial instruction on collaborative skills. Use interactive activities (partner, small group, experiential activities) when students can practice using the collaborative skill. #LearnLAP
A5 Embedding collaboration into our year long ind rdng project. Multiple books for lit circles linked by a common theme encourages Ss to connect. Design Thinking inspired projects and our classroom gov. #LearnLAP
My @Skyline_WC tutors take active leadership roles closing achievement + opportunity gaps in our school + community with a laser focus on equity through growth mindset, honoring literacies + sharing vulnerability. Students also actively share their work at conferences. #LearnLAP
Want access to dozens of FREE resources, blog posts, teaching ideas, and student samples?
Check out the #LearnLAP companion website here: https://t.co/PpADyNVqXG
Yes! I have a speaker system right now to help a hearing-impaired student. The influx of student engagement when they get to use a mic has been huge! #LearnLAP
A5 foster collaboration by giving Ss opportunities to work in pairs, small groups, class decision making, discussions, debates projects etc . Reflect on these opportunities together #LearnLAP
A5. I like ideas that are easy .... "Sail These Seven Steps to Greater Collaborative Success"
If shared w/ students, what would the discussion do to help them define it for themselves?
https://t.co/MXhnGuAlOq#LearnLAP
A5 We learn better together so think purpose:
What are the learning experiences?
How will students learn from each other?
How will students collaborate together?
What is the purpose of students collaborating?
How will I monitor the learning within collaboration?
#LEARNLap
My book Instilling Touchstones of Character has chapter on Collaboration skill - Explain it, Experience, Engage it, Enhance it, Explore it https://t.co/yWfnr95F6c#LearnLAP
Unfortunately, I need to drop early tonight. Thank you all for the great ideas. I can't wait to catch up on all the other questions when I get home.
@kcasw1 , you have been an awesome moderator tonight!!!
#LearnLAP
Some of the best moments in the classroom is when students engage in collaborative learning based on an impromptu question or a moment in the read aloud book. Such great energy! #LearnLAP
A5: Kids need the opportunity to collaborate in different ways. Sometimes they write together. Sometimes they talk. Sometimes they collaborate on something creative. They need all those chances to be successful. #LearnLAP
A4: Unfortunately, many classrooms provide limited opportunity for leadership skills to develop. I've found one of the most effective ways to build leaders in my classroom is to stop providing answers & direction. This gives Ss permission to step up & lead their way! ๐ย #learnlap
A4: Recent improvements in our school occurred due to student leadership (student conservation committee, compost and recycling, bathroom paint colors, 3rd graders will redesign courtyard into pollinator garden!). Ss lead with within THEIR school. #LearnLAP
A6: This is a big rock for me this year, so going to be more intentional. Currently use popsticks to ensure all Ss are called on; choice of how demonstrate learning & understanding-can be verbal. Want to incorporate more collaboration. #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
#learnlap A6 Create a culture of love in your room where all Ss know their voice can be heard. My main goal each year is for my Ss to describe me with these ultimate descriptors. When I do this my room becomes magical.
A6 we have a variety of ways for students to share their concerns and ideas, we encourage students to share with us and this all starts with building those genuine relationships rooted in trust #learnlap
A6: I like to offer different ways for Ss to provide input and offer their voice through tech, online discussions, and in small groups. I offer ways but don't require the same output for all Ss. Starting to dabble with @Flipgrid#learnlap
I encourage students to build strong relationships with one another during student-led, student-centered Harkness Discussions. Students are responsible for build a real-deal discourse community that considers all voices + makes space for all learners. #LearnLAP
A6: We have a new Special Helper each day, who get to lead the line, choose first, etc. When it comes to whole group instruction and choosing, I pull sticks with their name and pic on it (so they learn to associate their pic w/ their name) #LearnLAP
A6: I try to say the name of every student in my class. My hope is that by reaching out to them, they know they can also reach out to me and be heard! #learnlap
Youโll have Ss who want to say everything & others who donโt want to share/ talk. Provide different ways to respond not just vocal in front of class. Video recording or written reflections. Use name sticks. Pull out a name, this ensures everyone gets a turn. #learnLAP
A6: through choice and opportunity. Students need multiple outlets that push the to reach outside their comfort zone. They need to know that they can fail and it's okay because they have the ability to continue on but giving up isnt an option.
#LearnLAP
A6: We need to know our Ss and give them the chance to share their voices. Not everyone is comfortable sharing in front of the class, but they might be comfortable sharing with a partner. Some may be okay sharing an academic answer, but not something about themselves. #LearnLAP
A6: Student voice explodes with purpose when they feel respected, listened to, and safe. We need to nurture a community of support and respect- then they are not afraid to share themselves fully. Students shine when they know it is authentic. Every action is purposeful #LearnLAP
#learnLAP a1 My mind is still focussed on how to get out of silos of learning. Especially to find pedagogy where students pick up the mantle. Sometimes the ways they teach each other are strange to me but I figure if it works then lets share big time.
#teacherlife
A6: I feel that getting to know our Ss through relationship building will make it easier to find likes and interest that encourages student involvement. #learnlap
A6: 1 way I try to ensure all student voices are heard is by providing various way to participate (whole class, small groups, etc.). I also feel like tech can help for Ss who may not want to talk in class, but can build confidence by submitting a written response #LearnLAP
A6 Morning meetings provide a venue to share big or little moments. Dialogue journals give everyone a quiet place to share and connect with me. Lastly, our @padlet gives even our quietest S a chance to share their thinking during the day or at home after reflection. #LearnLAP
A6 We can support children in amplifying their voices in the learning, in their relationships, in their day-to-day experiences-we need to ensure ALL voices are heard-if we value #studentvoice then it is evident in our values, principles & practices within the community #LEARNLap
I frequently use "Chalk Talks" + silent discussions to be sure that we can consider all voices + that even the quietest student has a space. Students offer their own response on one color sticky note + then they respond to other using a different color sticky note. #LearnLAP
A5: Ss need to first learn that collaboration is not chunking tasks, only to put them back together as a finished product. (Ex: I'll make the map; you do the poster.) True collaboration means that the product is a blended reflection of the group. It's not oil and water! #learnlap
#learnlap A7 Using a @surface tablet and a wireless display adapter I am able to photograph ANY randomly picked Ss work, convert the pic to a PDF and ink on it to show correct or incorrect work. IT IS AMAZING! Wouldn't teach without a @surface tablet ever again.
A7: In a 1:1 ipad school Ss have choice of written, verbal, pictorial options to demonstrate understanding. Going to use @Flipgrid this year, & start S podcasts using @anchor. We teach public speaking & debating, & participate in school & cluster comps. #LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder
A7: We are a small, not very technology-rich district..... #LearnLAP
I have a SmartBoard where I can show what's on my laptop, but it's not interactive...
We have three iPads the Ss can choose during centers.
A7: Prior to using @Flipgrid, I use a district learning platform for online discussions and video responses that can be both interactive or individual #learnlap
A7- DIg tech tools: flipgrid, edublogs, skype, google hangout, TED talks, ipads, class newscast, green screen to name a few. Use a few well and reinvent ways to create and connect with others across the globe.#LearnLAP
A5: I'm going to be constantly changing seating and encouraging respect so that students can work with a range of students in different sized groups. Ss working in teams to defeat our boss which results on a class reward #LearnLAP#tlapdownunder
A7 Student generated blog and twitter feed help share learning. Students share notes on padlets and we use screencasts to document minecraft projects. Big ideas from lit circles are shared on flipgrid. Lots of choice because my learners have a lot of voice! #LearnLAP
A7. I have access to 4 classroom iPads for our groups. We use @SeeSaw@flipgrid and #appsmashed . When I had my own class we used googleclassroom & class website #LearnLAP
A6: random wheel to choose students, using cards to organise groups. I want to use google classrooms more this year and allow students to send questions if they need clarification on things #LearnLAP#tlapdownunder
A2: Establishing roots of "sameness" among one another while simultaneously celebrating differences! This celebration is lead by teachers and then imitated by Ss #LearnLAP
I've been impressed with how having assigned roles works with students with communications challenges. Entire teams help build social skills, etc. #LearnLAP
Q8 Just for fun: How many Australian landmarks used in the Q slides can you name? Extra bragging rights if you can also name their location.
#LearnLAP#TLAPdownunder@PaulSolarz
These walls would be a great feature throughout the hallways in a school - it makes the learning visible to the whole school community - & provides opportunity for children to engage in learning & showcasing their knowledge of the learning at anytime #LearnLAP
#learnlap This young lady did her sr journalism project as a video documentary about my 1st rule #AlwaysBelieve in Yourself. IT IS WORTH THE 7 MINUTE WATCH! So blessed in my 28 years of teaching to impact so many kids. #ENJOY! https://t.co/QyCVXGNNqe
Thanks for the conversation tonight #learnlap! Hope to see you all Thursday at 9pm ET in #waledchat! All about reflection! In the meantime, see you in #tlap!
