A1: Gotta say, the FOOD is amazing! The extraordinary people, incredible networking, fabulous sessions and positive energy? Well, that's all just icing on the cake. #PatinsIcam
A1: I love this conference, and always found that I could apply what I learned immediately after attending! My favorite part, however, is networking and meeting so many fantastic people! #PatinsIcam
I think my favorite part is the keynotes! Have met some amazing people who thriving and willing to share. I really loved the DOE panel 2 years ago. Any chance it is coming back? #PatinsIcam
A2: For starters, see answers from Q1. Then add on the awesome realization that as a presenter you're impacting the life of SO many other educators AND their students. #PatinsIcam

Q3: Do you have a story about presenting at a conference for the first time that you’d be willing to share? How has this experience impacted you as an educator? #PatinsIcam
A2: I always ask a teacher or student to co-present, so I would say...An opportunity to empower educators in your district to share & spotlight their hard work + dedication #PatinsIcam
Q3 - first time I presented at a Google Summit, NONE of my tech would work. I joked a lot about how I wasn't Google Certified, so that must be my problem. Turns out I still got good feedback and many thanks, so it gave me courage to try again! #PatinsIcam

A3 - and now I am Google Certified, but I still have tech problems. Impossible to plan for everything that may go "wrong", so focus on what you know you can do "right" - Share amazing ideas, and Ts will care!#patinsicam

A3: Sometimes you just don't know how much you know, and how passionate you are about something until you decide to present it to others in hope they'll make it their own or benefit by it. #PatinsIcam
A3: I just remember being scared for the days leading up and IMMEDIATELY euphoric and ready to do it again...much like riding a triple loop roller-coaster! #PatinsIcam

I think it was a great first time doing a state-wide presentation, because I got to connect to so many people interested in what I was interested in. TODAY I talked to some1 who wanted 2 talk about what I presented years ago, I don't know if you get that anywhere else #PatinsIcam
A3: I'm a listener by nature & trade, thus when I present it is out of my comfort zone. I rehearse over & over at home to improve. When I was a #sped instructional coach in Iowa, my husband told my "boss" I did this at home. How embarrassing! #PatinsIcam
A4: I have so many presenters I follow but I love high energy and immediate take away people...if I can apply even one thing right away I feel like I have won! HA #PatinsIcam
A4: My favorite sessions are always where the presenter's enthusiasm is contagious. Sessions when you are fully engaged and can't wait to try whatever they are teaching about. #PatinsIcam
This is absolutely beautiful! I am glad to know that others perform at home too...I have given more than one session to my cats. They were not receptive and quite frankly, indifferent. HAHAH #PatinsIcam

A4: passion and stories - when someone shares from their heart about how something works, and tells stories to prove it, I am hooked! Much like a good book reels me in. I can't help but want to feel that wonderful about something going on in my class. #PatinsIcam
Excellent tip! I STILL like to present with others even though we do it all of the time! You never know when you will need someone to fake a non-working text reader for you @ksuding ! Hahahah #PatinsIcam
A5: Stories, they are the heart of every presentation. The Ss who we have been blessed to teach and who teach us. Stories - never give a presentation without at least one! #patinsicam
A5: one of the most comment feedback I get, they love the stories: as Humans we connect to other human experiences, and we ALL have stories to tell. Means so much to all learners to hear the stories and learn from them (even if they aren't perfect!) #PatinsIcam
A5 LOVE student success stories! Including strategies, supports, tools that helped pave the success are so helpful when considering interventions for other students and inspiring teachers to keep on keepin' on! #patinsicam

A7: they take even more planning than a traditional sit-and-get (spray-and-pray aka "spray you with PD and pray you apply it with students) but done well, they are by far what I apply immediately #PatinsIcam
Excellent Community GIF! It was seriously one of the funniest moments ever...I thought for a second that the text reader was working, but it was @ksuding, with a microphone, from the wings of the stage! HAHAHAHHA #PatinsIcam
Q8: What type of panel discussions or Town Hall discussions would be most valuable to conference attendees? Examples might be UDL, AEM Teams, Testing Accommodations, IEPs? #PatinsIcam
