A2: I feel like our ha been mostly learning. We've invested a great deal of time and energy into better serving our students of trauma, mindfulness, and self-regulation. #personalizedPD

A2: We're definitely abt 80/20 right now...and it's honestly not equal across the district, really depends on who your instructional leader is and how they advocate for #personalizedPD

Our district has been using the professionally driven model this year and we are seeing people go above and beyond the original expectations for career development plans because they are passionate about what they are learning.

Agree, but the sad part is that some people have had choice, power and decisions taken away from them for so long that they think they actually do like to be told. The freedom to make choices actually becomes a scary idea. #personalizedPD

I NEEDED the 1986 version of "Go to the head of the class" so I could teach my students about creating games (also needed "Forbidden Island" and "Dead Men Tell No Tales." Honest I did...) #personalizedPD

A4: With a fixed mindset, I feel like a person is stuck in the "It's always been this way" mode. With a growth mindset, I feel like a person is open-minded and willing to try new things. #PersonalizedPD

Sometimes the "it's always been this way" people are just scared of failure. When we show them it's OK to fail from time to time because the growth can be so huge when you try new things, they start to come around #personalizedPD#wisedchat

YES! I totally address this in my book. The Fight or Flight moment for educators is one I see all the time but is sometimes hard to define. Help educators recognize this moment and coach them through how to choose Fight over Flight. #personalizedPD#wisedchat

A6: I always say I don't like scary movies or roller coasters because I'm scared all the time anyway. I don't need to pay someone. Everything is scary. Now go live your life. This goes for #personalizedPD new lessons, presenting in new ways, trying stuff, and trying MORE stuff.

A7 Seems a little limiting of a definition - sometimes when I'm coaching someone, we start by building off strengths to gain trust first. I would say growth mindset is always believing you can improve yourself and others. #PersonalizedPD

A7) Yes I totally agree. I realize when I am not the best teacher for students that are ahead of the majority of my Ss. I then look for and ask for a T to develop them further. But I am always there for support and will learn with them. #PersonalizedPD#wisedchat
