Summer gives us the TIME that we may not have during the school year - but taking TIME to be mindful; recharge; and take care of ourselves during the school year is just as important. #IDedchat
A1: I have recharged by completely disconnecting. I told myself absolutely no school work for 10 days. It was tough at first, but MUCH needed. #idedchat

Mindfulness is actually practicing being conscious and aware of "things" - I think I truly experienced this when in the mountains. I was "aware" of sounds, feelings, thoughts.. #IDedchat
:-) I think relaxing is when you are doing something you enjoy - it can be activity or doing nothing. For Instance - #IDedchat is actually very relaxing for me - it fills me up! #IDedchat
A4: I make sure that from 8:30-9pm until I go to bed that I really try not to do anything school work related. Twitter sure. But no e-mails. Gives me time to relax and get ready for the morning. #idedchat
One step I took when I was principal was to put my phone in "do not disturb" mode beginning at 9pm through 7am. That way I don't get notifications. #IDedchat
Haha I don't check middle of the night, but I do have it on my phone which is unavoidable. I want to be in the know and yet disconnected at the same time. Can't have it both ways. #idedchat
A5: I make sure to exercise. Whether it be soccer, volleyball, or just going for a walk. I try and stay active and "disconnect" from everything for a while. #idedchat
A5: One thing I do is play music - I play in a worship band for our church. While I am doing it in service for our church - it is truly fulfilling for me as well. #IDedchat
R6: I try to learn my Ss names quickly. I also plan on modeling learning and communicating with my Ss appropriately this year starting day 1. #IDedchat
It started with a leap of faith in a class that I trusted. Now it transitioned to me showing examples of prior years and showing them what I mean by setting norms. it's then a discussion/ice breaker #idedchat
