Competitive gaming is making it to the mainstream! Competitions are selling out venues like Madison Square Garden and online streaming of Esports is as popular as viewing of professional athletic events. Colleges are starting to provide scholarships for competitive gaming. It is time to build the pipeline to prepare students for these opportunities while honoring their interests and valuing their skills. This chat is aimed at building a community around the growth of Esports in grades 6 though 12 which will naturally feed into the college programs. We also focus on journalism, interviewing skills, branding, social media management, streaming and content creation, graphic design, content analysis, constructive feed back, self regulation and mental and physical Heath #esportsEDU
I have a healthy competition happening informally with #PONG, and that led to the creation of an actual physical table tennis mania and hysteria and need which subsequently happened — it is constant ping pong outside #esportsedu
Is anyone running statistics or projections with esports gaming numbers? There is so much data. I imagine a World Series commentary like “a one-footed leap 1080 no scope like that hasn’t been seen in a semi-final match since 1987” #esportsedu

4 me #esportsedu is a tool for learning. #GBL is there 4 internal motivation, cause we aren't relevant. We need 2 motivate Ss, to get the school good PR 😢. If Ss could learn what they want I wouldn't need #GBL. If it doesn't serve learning, even skills, don't want it in school
