A1: Read Alouds are great to use in any unit. Students enjoy having texts read out loud. I start in the first month of school

A1 - I think it just helps SS when they hear how a word should be pronounced, different tones, ect.

A1: It's especially helpful, too, for intro-ing novels like Feed that incorporate wonky language Ss might stumble over at first.

In Gr 6 I read Tuck Everlasting aloud. Every student walks away loving the book because we were able to read together!

A2:Ss sit wherever they're most comfortable. Desks, on the floor with pillows, etc. Almost all choose to have the book with them.

A3 - My kids read Orbiting Jupiter by Gary Schmidt for the GRA. Was an amazing experience. Chapters are short but engaging
