#aussieED Archive
#aussieED was founded on the belief that all teachers, and students, should have unlimited access to Professional Development, on their own terms, to improve their teaching, their schools and change the lives of the students they encounter. Since then, we have embarked on a mission to reach educators, not only in Australia but, all around the globe. We want to smash the barriers that prevent teachers from easily connecting and learning with each other. To that end, we have developed a regular Ed-chat each Sunday on twitter at #aussieED. The chat allows all teachers, leaders, administrators and all those connected with education to meet on an unbiased platform and discuss the real issues that effect what happens in classrooms everywhere. Our chats are authentic because we are real teachers walking the same walk that so many do everyday.

Prestia I'm already overwhelmed
A1. Spend 10 mins with each S 2 learn more about them as a person. Learn about their life outside of school
A1: essential learn your Ss names
A1; i have done a kind of dead poet society introduktion, sitting myself on a desk and starting to tell different tales about me

Q1. What strategies can you recommended for building positive relationships when first entering a classroom?
A1: get to know your Ss- strengths/weaknesses, what interests them. Need to make connection

Every relationship is important, difficult ones teach you valuable lessons for other relationships, teach us about ourselves
A1 smile, greet each person indivdually. Make them laugh (Joke if you are good at it) Make them feel good however possible

A1-4me positive relns r built on respect & the desire listen as much as talk. Pos relns require us to respect ourselves & others
