Good morning, #bfc530! My kids’ district’s referendum passed last night! Thanks to everyone who sent positive thoughts yesterday! And I got my visa for my trip to Ghana in April! Sorry about the snow out east though!
I must be back-on-track! Here on time 😆😜. #room1113 open house #1 tonight! Two classes and their parents. It’s going to be a long day, but I love these evenings! #bfc530
Co-teach with a historical figure ... Have you been looking at my Historical Madness tweets? Frederick Douglass or Henry David Thoreau would be high on my list. #bfc530
A: I'm not an art teacher, but I pick Georgia O'Keeffe. Her attitude and sense of independence and style would help any classroom! Think of the outfits and murals! #bfc530
He came to mind for me too! I feel like his story and message for hope would not only inspire students but also the staff. He’d be a great team leader 😉. #bfc530
Good morning! I hope each of you have a great day. For all of you off for a snow day, I hope it’s an enjoyable day! I’ve got to get ready for a before school parent meeting. #bfc530
If I could teach with a famous historical figure? 🧐 hmmmmm. Churchill. Just think of the zingers and speech-writing aspects. Although we’d have to watch his language and attitude a little - and no smoking or drinking 😜🇬🇧#bfc530
Now this is a tough one !!! I might go with Socrates, but Eleanor Roosevelt I think would have a great presence in the classroom as well. This would be a great question for the students !! #bfc530
I'm having difficulty selecting a historical figure.
What if the person isn't as fun and fabulous as I think? Would this ruin everything for me?
Yikes! #overthinking#bfc530
It would have been wonderful to have had the opportunity to co-teach with this amazing woman...compassion, love, commitment, changing lives for the better...one small step at a time! #bfc530#JoyfulLeaders
I will pick Jesus. I think His parables would really help the students to be able to critically think, plus the students would not be able to stump Him. #bfc530

I would coteach with Rosalind Franklin. She is a co-discoverer of DNA that was not acknowledged during her lifetime. She was a strong woman who faced many difficulties working in a “man’s world” and would be a wonderful role model for resilience #bfc530
Maybe the person doesn't have to be "famous " ! Like I love how the indigenous ppl of Hawaii navigate by the stars, an advanced system that they're teaching sailors today !! #bfc530
Good morning #BFC530 . My first thought is Lincoln. Many times people overlook that he spent several of his formative yrs in Indiana. If I were still teaching science: Newton. So many great discoveries/theories/laws.
#bfc530 I would co-teach with Harriet Tubman to understand her courage, commitment and perseverance to risk her life to help slaves escape. I can’t imagine!
Good morning from Bonn and the #SDGGlobalFest! It’s amazing to be surrounded by such incredible leaders all focused on global sustainability #TeachSDGs#BelougaImpact
A Teaching models taken: Jesus, Mother Teresa. So, add: Abe Lincoln, Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; St. Francis, Thomas Merton, Aristotle, And for math today add @alicekeeler#BFC530
I like @bohndrake answer so much! What about Native American groups from your region who could teach kids about edible wild plants? You know, just in case! ;) And yes, my coffee isn’t working yet! #bfc530
I'd like to co-teach w/ @ManuelScott...I was told by a very wise mentor in my early days in the classroom (😊) to teach with an open ❤️and just saw this post this am & thought it was fitting for today #bfc530
I would love to co-teach with @JoeBiden while working next door to a teacher that is co-teaching with @BarackObama! Double the impact! (SB: What does #bfc530 stand for?<---- first time joining in)
Martin Luther King Jr and/or Nellie McClung; both of whose roles in historic civic movements changed people’s lives forever. I’d want to learn from them on how to empower my students to use their voices and actions for positive change. #bfc530
Powerful! It is becoming a ritual of mine to honor the land of the specific group of indigenous people before an event after a conversation I had at @Harvard w/a group of AMAZING people!#bfc530

First thought: Jesus (He would be great with classroom management). Second thought: Ada Lovelace (female mathematician and computer programmer in 1800s and her life was rough and will relate to my Ss). #bfc530
To teach with a historical figure...Anne Sullivan. As a SPED T to really learn about patients and perseverance, while i know i posses those qualities I always need more. #bfc530#spedchat#whyiteach#ParrTeach
.@IsadoraBrasil8 conseguiu 42.19 pontos no programa curto no Mundial de Patinação Artistica #Milano2018 Não deve avançar para o programa longo, infelizmente
Morning, #bfc530. This Q makes me wonder how co-teaching with John Dewey might shake my classroom outlook, or Leonardo da Vinci for his curious interdisciplinary eye, or others with similar lenses but silenced by history?
We have a snow day here in VA as well. It was nice to sleep past 5. I would love to co-teach with Gandhi because he was full of wisdom and brought about change through non- violent resistance. #bfc530
